A Different Kind of Learning

Thomas Ricks was here in Utah, talking about his new book and why he believes that we'll be in Iraq for a long, long time - at the same time that he believes it's the worst foreign policy mistake in our nation's history.

Hard to argue with that. It was a pleasure to see a student of mine from some nine years ago, home and in one piece after three tours of duty. This very moving piece from the New Republic speaks to some of the emotions we feel about this seemingly endless conflict.
